Hosting a birthday party for toddlers is different from hosting a party for older children. Toddlers have a much shorter attention span, requiring activities to be modified accordingly. Toddlers also play differently than older children, preferring "parallel play" alongside other children, rather than participating in games that require a lot of social interaction. Toddlers tire easily as well, and an hour and a half is about their limit for a party. Extend at your own risk! Morning parties work best for toddlers in order to avoid conflicting with naptime.
