Plastic Easter Egg Sculpture
We hosted an Easter Egg Hunt and after the eggs were collected and opened one of the children started creating a design on the floor with the egg halves. Since we like to encourage creativity, we let the program go off in this direction and the rest of the class quickly became involved. The children came up with a lot of great designs, including rainbows, flowers, and various complex patterns.
The one requirement is to have a lot of easter eggs. Even a small design by one child takes a good amount of eggs.
This is a good example of an open ended activity during which children are encouraged to use their creativity, rather than producing something with a specified outcome.
